Automata vision testing machine for 7 billion people.
Aim of the project is to develop an automated eye test tool that allows performing the vision tests that required the presence of specialists until now, in most cases to be carried out only by mechanical ways.
It is also possible that the entire machine vision inspection process would be controlled by a specialist, in accordance with the necessary legal and professional standards. In complicated cases the client will be redirected to the further examinations by experts, based on the machine’s proposal.
The patients’ data, the results of performed examinations and the information of the interventions carried out by the specialists can be recorded and will be available for patients at any time in the future. Thus the anamnesis of patients can be continually checked and filtered during their life. With the support of connected subsystems, patients can be supplied with individual aids as well.
One of the social benefits of the development is to provide services in those parts of the world, as well, where appropriate specialists are not available or not affordable. (For example, sparsely populated, developed areas or countries of the developing world.) On the other hand, with the use of these tools it can be increased the number of people who receiving health care in developed countries in such a way that the overall cost of local health care system will be reduced and specialists deal only with those cases that require their expertise. With the dramatic increase of the population of the world and the ratio of claimants of sight correction within, our development will provide an early solution to an expected global problem.
Later, the hardware part of the device can be upgraded to be combined with mobile device hardware (“periphery”) as well, extremely reducing the cost and making this service more widely available.
