The full business incubation program is a great opportunity for companies developing a software/mobile application for global markets. Each team accepted to the incubator will receive an initial seed financing of €30,000. In addition, promising companies with highest potential business ideas, who have proved the viability and market potential of their product idea, as well as capabilities of the project team, will receive follow-up funding of €50,000 – 250,000 after the program.
We carefully design our incubation processes around the specific needs of our participants, while employing best practices established by larger, world-leading technology incubators/accelerators. The incubation process is broken down into 4 phases (Shape – Build – Sell – Follow Up). The first 3 phases take place in-house, at our accelerator, for 3 months.
Our incubator is backed by private investors and the European Commission, which enables us to offer unique access to financing, mentorship and FIWARE technologies. It is an eligibility criteria to use one of the open source generic enablers developed by FIWARE partners. For a (not extensive) list of enablers please click here.
Shape your business model.
The core focus of the SHAPE-phase is to make sure, that the teams get their business models correct from the very beginning. During these weeks the emphasis is on getting the teams implement business plan adjustments and define the products’ key customer segments.
Build your Product/Service.
During the “Build” phase teams focus in developing their products based on the business plan that was prepared in previous weeks. Teams continue communicating with their mentors they chose, use the technological infrastructure our partners provide and test with pilot users.
Sell your solution.
During the “Sell” phase the teams focus on how well their products can be sold. Entrepreneurs continue working with their pilot customers, and collect feedback on the functioning of the product. Emphasis is on getting feedback on their existing clients for making the product attractive.
